NORFOLK, Va. — Get ready for a blast from the past! Nauticus has unveiled a new travel exhibit, perfect for tech lovers.
It's called 'Game Changers'. Throughout the exhibit, there are examples of old-school stick games and virtual reality systems.
There are also historical displays in different languages that show how the gaming industry has evolved.
The staff says attendees will take a journey into gaming's past and uncover the video game future.
"Not only are there classic videogames: Donkey Kong, Galaga; but it’s really about how those games are designed as well. So, you don’t need any quarters, you can just come and have fun – and learn a bit too. And that’s what makes this really one of the most interesting ones that we’ve brought to Nauticus,” said Stephen Kirkland, Executive Director at Nauticus.
Jordan, a gamer who's celebrating his birthday at the exhibit, says the exhibit is not something you'd expect.
"Well, it was a surprise from my grandmother, and she said there was a gaming center that we were going to come to. I thought that it was gonna be, like, small and stuff. But this is big! It's, like, really big and I haven't even gone through everything and I'm already having lots of fun," said Jordan.
You can visit this exhibit in downtown Norfolk until the last day of April. For more information, click here.
