HAMPTON, Va. — Missy Elliott, a Portsmouth native, announced her first-ever headlining tour on Monday, featuring Busta Rhymes, Ciara and Timbaland.
The tour, titled OUT OF THIS WORLD - The Missy Elliott Experience, is making stops all around the country, including Hampton!
"This is an incredible time in my life as I am experiencing so many milestone 'firsts'," said Elliott in a press release. "Being the FIRST female Hip Hop artist to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and now going out on my FIRST headline tour," said Elliott.

Elliott said fans have asked for a headline tour "forever," but said that she wanted to wait until the moment felt right.
"I knew if I was ever going to do it, I had to do it big, and I had to do it with family! So get ready to be taken OUT OF THIS WORLD with me, Busta Rhymes, Ciara and Timbaland! WE can't wait to share this experience with the fans," said Elliott.

The show will hit 24 cities, and will come to the Hampton Coliseum on Friday, Aug. 2.
Tickets start going on sale Apr. 9, starting with the Verizon presale. Live Nation said additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general on-sale beginning Friday, Apr. 12. at 10 a.m.
