NORFOLK, Va. — On a hot summer day, there's not a whole lot better than an ice-cold drink.

This weekend, you may see more lemonade stands than normal, all for a good cause.

Hundreds of people across Hampton Roads are working as part of CHKD's Annual Anthem Lemon-aid Campaign.

It helps kids like Xavier Norris, he was diagnosed with stage three kidney cancer in the middle of the COVID pandemic, and spent 10 months in CHKD.

News 3 spoke with him and his mother about how he's feeling and how the hospital helped them during that time.

"I actually feel kinda good to be at my house," Xavier told us.

Every purchase will support childcare cancer treatment programs at the hospital.
