"Kill Devil Hills," a horror movie made in Virginia Beach by writer-director Butch Maier, has launched on the streaming service Tubi.

Sarah Kate Allsup, Shelby Johnson, Zay Perry, Ashlyn Musser, E.P. Macalma and Leanna Criss star as friends, old and new, who connect in a beach house and discover a gold coin.

While they hunt for a buried treasure, they are met with deadly consequences.

"Kill Devil Hills" premiered theatrically at Norfolk's The Naro last year.

Maier says the horror movie was produced through his company, Virginia Beach-based Sumbadhat Productions, and included executive producers Stanley Aughtry and Anthony Duncan.

The movie released on the streaming platform just in time for the Halloween season, will you be watching? You can see the trailer above, courtesy of Sumbadhat Productions.
