VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — The rain couldn't stop a more than 20-year-old tradition from returning to Virginia Beach on Easter weekend.
The Spring Fling and Easter egg hunt at Hunt Club Farm is happening all weekend from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Kids and families of all ages came to the farm and picked through 35,000 eggs spread around the property.
Typically, the farm reports that anywhere from 6,000 to 8,000 people come celebrate Easter weekend at the farm.
The farm says it's usually the first busy weekend of the new year.
"Most of the winter was a little dormant here," says Stephen Pinner. "It's great to see even, despite the weather today, all the families out. First-time egg hunters and it's just a great feeling to see everybody out and enjoying the property."
The Easter Bunny showed up too to say Hoppy Easter to the kids!
