VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The Great Neck PONY Baseball League faced the Kempsville PONY Baseball League in the inaugural Champions League Championship Game Sunday, May 22.
The Champions League is a division of baseball that provides the opportunity for children with special needs to take part in America's favorite pastime — and pursue their dreams of team sports.
According to the league, the goal is to provide an environment that enhances participants' self-esteem and physical mobility while also embodying the spirit of teamwork and community.
The game was played at the Kempsville PONY Baseball fields. First pitch was slated for 1 p.m.
