HAMPTON ROADS, Va. — You may find a decorated surprise of colorful stones of fun cartoons or motivational messages. Well, if you happen to stumble across these, you're looking at the work of the "Norfolk Rocks" of the Hampton Roads.

This Facebook group has grown to over five thousand members that participate in community service initiatives across the seven cities. They've put together Christmas themed rocks and toy donations for the OV Church’s Affordable Christmas Store “toy drive" and plan to continue spreading rocks in what they call the "Kindness Rocks Project."

"We leave rocks everywhere we go, it's just a movement. Just supporting those people that may be marginalized elsewhere that we want them to know that they're valued," says Kathi Thomas, Rock Painter and FB Group Admin.

They meet monthly at the Coaster Coffee and are happy to inspire other artists or members of the community to get involved. To be a part of their meet-up, they invite you to join the Facebook group and spread some kindness.
