POQUOSON, Va. - Peninsula nonprofit Giving Hope in Hampton Roads is holding a Craft Show and Food Drive at the Poquoson Museum in Poquoson on Saturday.

The event, which will feature dozens of vendors, food trucks and games, aims to raise money to feed 14 Peninsula-area families, organizers tell News 3. Money donations will also go to support Meals on Wheels.

Each vehicle that comes through is asked to bring five-to-ten non-perishable food items, keeping the needs of an entire family in mind.

“Formula, fruit snacks for kids, healthy snacks for kids. We don’t want them to just eat one day. We want them to have food for a couple days because some of them may not get paid or get their assistance until the beginning of the month and we’d like of them to have a few days worth of food," said Karen Whaley, one of the organizers of the event.

The Craft Show and Food Drive runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on November 4. The Poquoson Museum is located at 968 Poquoson Avenue in Poquoson.
