VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Ellie and Abby, 8-year-old twin sisters, were shopping with their mom Katie at a TJ Maxx in Virginia Beach just before Christmas.

They found the perfect dance shoes but when they went to check out, Katie realized her Navy Federal app wasn't working to transfer money from savings to checking.

As they were short on the $150 needed for the shoes, a woman named Heaven, who was checking them out, stepped in and paid for the shoes.

Katie was moved to tears by this random act of kindness from Heaven. She later posted about it on TikTok, where it went viral with over 450,000 views.

Katie says the shoes will only last a little while, but the memory of Heaven's kindness will last a lifetime for her daughters. She plans to visit and personally thank Heaven.

The story highlights how a small act of generosity can have a big impact, especially for a military family just trying to provide for their kids. It's a heartwarming tale of holiday spirit and kindness from a stranger.
