NORFOLK, Va. — The Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters opened an outpatient pharmacy Monday.

The new pharmacy is on the first floor of the main hospital campus at 601 Children's Lane in Norfolk, according to CHKD. It provides specialty services to children and adults like customized medications, improved tastes of medications with kid-friendly flavoring, formulated medications free of allergens and dyes and unique dosage forms for specific therapies.

After employees and families celebrated the opening with a ribbon cutting on Nov. 13, staff got to work filling prescriptions, according to the hospital.
