And a little Father's Day history for you: The day to honor dads was initiated by a Spokane woman in the early 1900s. She and her five siblings were raised by her widowed father who was also a veteran of the Civil War. Her proposal was made official in 1924 when President Coolidge urged states to recognize the day.
From all of us here at News 3 Happy Father's Day!
