NORFOLK, Va. — Black BRAND’s B-Force Accelerator celebrated Tuesday 31 Black business owners who completed a 12-week cohort focussing on business acceleration through capital access.
They say more than 1,000 hours of technical assistance were provided.
To celebrate, there was a Landing Ceremony Luncheon (graduation) and Connecting Flights Resource Fair.
The fair had nearly 20 vendors, including 757 Collab, Hampton Roads Workforce Council, Dollar Bank, Merrill Lynch, IKEA, YWCA, and more).
It was at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott on Tuesday from 1 to 6 p.m.
$25,000 in grants were issued in five categories:
- Nonprofit most poised for growth
- Most likely to expand
- Most Engaged
- Most Improved
- Best Pitch
Black BRAND’s B-Force Accelerator says they are providing a solution for black business owners' business scaling needs by providing grants, facilitating networking, building a supportive ecosystem, and offering accounting, legal, marketing/branding, human resources, and credit repair.
