CHESAPEAKE, Va. — Santa Clause is coming to town, and he was seen in Chesapeake today! He was visiting children in the Kidz Kruz thanks to the JMA Foundation for hosting their annual “shopping with kids' event.”
The Hillcrest Walmart was filled with students from Chesapeake Public schools and heavy presence of Chesapeake police.
"We are excited, we feel safe," says Sunday Hill, JCA Foundation Marketing & Promotions Director.
All around you could see smiles on everyone’s face as the Kidz Cruz organization brought the community together to spread some holiday cheer.
Today they are shopping, each student gets a thirty-dollar gift card, they get a pizza dinner, a visit with Santa and Santa treats. It's a time where we give back to all schools that really need a sense of holiday spirit," says Hill.
This event is going on 17 years strong with today's event being the official return since the COVID-19 pandemic and JMA founder, James Archbell, says that he's looking forward to kids walking away with more toys every year.
