Annual airport performance of the Harbor String Quartet

They call it, "Wings and Strings!"

NORFOLK, Va. — A partnership between the airport and the Virginia Symphony is adding a touch of positivity to the crazy holiday travel delays.

"Wings and Strings" is an event they do every year, and a founding member of the quartet told us that it makes a huge difference.

"This is probably our favorite event for the whole year. People that are coming through the airport right now you can see that they're smiling and when they hear our music they just stop and listen. It just really makes a big difference in their travels. It's a wonderful event," said Allegra Havens, Violinist and Founding Member of Harbor String Quartet.

If you're around in the afternoons, you'll hear the jazz ensemble playing smooth tunes and if you're lucky, they take requests.
