Believe it or not, the weekend is nearly here – and News 3 has you covered with three fun things you can do!

Olde Towne Antique and Flea Market

It’s the first weekend of the month – which means Olde Towne in Portsmouth is hosting its antique and flea market.

Rain or shine, there will be more than 70 vendors on site selling everything from furniture to instruments to handmade crafts.

It’s happening at the Middle Street Garage in Portsmouth on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and it’s free to attend and to park.

Pirates of Penzance

Ahoy! Calling all seadogs and scallywags. The ‘Pirates of Penzance’ production is coming to the Virginia Opera this weekend.

Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. is Pirate Day at the Harrison Opera House where you and the family can dress in your pirate’s best, enjoy fun activities and catch a performance of ‘The Pirates of Penzance.’

Tickets for adults start at just $25.

Hampton University vs. William & Mary

Speaking of pirates – It’s a battle on the peninsula this weekend.

Hampton University takes on The College of William & Mary at the Armstrong Stadium this Saturday. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. It will be an interesting matchup – right now, William & Mary is 7-1, while Hampton has a record of 4-4.
