We know you may be dreading the workweek ahead, but with so much to do in the seven cities, there’s no reason you can’t enjoy Monday through Friday with the family.

That’s why News 3 is here to help you plan for the week ahead.

Suffolk Restaurant Week

Suffolk’s Fall Restaurant Week is now officially underway.

It kicked off over the weekend and runs through Saturday, November 12. There are nine restaurants taking part this year. Each spot is offering special menus for you to choose from, with three different price points.

National STEM/STEAM Day

Tuesday is National STEM/STEAM Day.

As you may know, STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics education. So why not celebrate this week by taking the kids to one of our area’s best resources for learning?

There’s the Virginia Air and Space Center in Hampton, the Virginia Living Museum in Newport News or the Children’s Museum in Portsmouth.

Winterfest on the Battleship Wisconsin

Later this week, a classic Hampton Roads holiday celebration sails into Norfolk!

Winterfest on the Battleship Wisconsin returns bigger and brighter than ever this Wednesday, November 9. It will be open every week Wednesday to Sunday until New Year’s Day. Adults can check out the lights for $18.50 a ticket. Tickets will cost $14.50 for children.

‘Dear Evan Hansen’ at Chrysler Hall

If you are looking for a trip to the theater this week, Dear Evan Hansen has made its grand debut in Norfolk.

The Tony and Grammy-winning touring musical arrived at Chrysler Hall on Tuesday.

The show will be here until this Sunday. Depending on when you buy your tickets, they could be as low as $50 a piece!

Santa Claus Returns to Lynnhaven Mall

Santa Claus is riding into town more than a month ahead of his busiest day of the year!

Old Saint Nick will be at Lynnhaven Mall every day starting this Friday at 11 a.m. You can make an appointment with the big guy ahead of time by visiting the link above.

Tidewater Veterans Day Parade

On Friday, you can check out the Tidewater Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony hosted by the Hampton Roads Council of Veterans Organizations.

It starts at 9 a.m. at 19th Street and Atlantic Avenue in Virginia Beach. If you can’t make it out, don’t worry! News 3 will proudly be streaming the entire parade right here on wtkr.com.
