Blackbeard Pirate Festival
Pirates are returning to the Peninsula this weekend! The Blackbeard Pirate Festival is coming back to Hampton Saturday and Sunday. There will be a ton of pirate-themed events, music, food and even fireworks over the Hampton River. It runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day.

Norfolk Tides Vs. Gwinett Stripers
The best in the minor leagues is back at Harbor Park this week. The Norfolk Tides are hosting the Gwinnett Stripers for seven games. There are some big promotions and events throughout the week, including post-game fireworks on Saturday. Tickets start at $15.

Jesus Christ Superstar
The famous Broadway musical 'Jesus Christ Superstar' is coming to the city of Norfolk. The show is on its 50th anniversary tour and will be at Chrysler Hall Tuesday through Sunday. Tickets start at $40.

USO Experience Virginia Beach Concert Series
A fun opportunity for military families is happening at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Friday through Sunday, the resort city will host a USO experience. There's a wide variety of activities for everyone to enjoy like paddleboarding, skydiving, paintball and more. There's also a concert series running 17th and 24th Street parks. The USO experience ends on Sunday.

Jackalope
The Jackelope action sports festival officially arrives in the resort city this weekend. The three-day festival will include extreme sports like BMX, surfing and skateboarding. You will also get the chance to see skateboarding legend, Tony Hawk. The festival is free to attend.

ZooGroove Concert
If you are in Norfolk this week, the ZooGroove concert is back in town. Starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, bands will rock out at the Virginia Zoo. Non-member tickets for adults will cost $17. There will also be food trucks, yard games and more.

Sunsets On The River
On Thursday, Norfolk's Sunset on the River concert series is back at the Hermitage Museum. On select dates through August, there will be local bands playing from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. There will also be food trucks, drinks and more. Tickets for non-members cost $15, and kids under 10 get in for free.

First Friday Art Market & Concert
As we approach the first weekend of the month, the City of Portsmouth is kicking things off with its first Friday Art Market and Concert series. This is happening in Olde Towne on Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. We are told there will be live music, more than 20 artists on site, food and more. It is completely free to attend.

Bodacious Bazaar Spring Show
The Bodacious Bazaar is back at the Hampton Roads Convention Center this weekend. From June 2 to June 4, you can check out more than 250 vendors, artists, and more, along with some of Virginia's finest wineries. Tickets range from $9 to $13.
