Bluey the cartoon dog is coming to Norfolk later this week. Bluey and her friends are being brought to life for an on-stage adaptation of the famous television show. "Bluey's Big Play" will be at Chrysler Hall this Thursday, March 13, at 6 p.m. Ticket prices range from $25 to $50 apiece.
Spring has just begun, and the iconic Japanese cherry blossoms are about to bloom. Luckily, you don't have to make the three-hour trip to D.C. just to see them. This Saturday, March 25, Red Wing Park in Virginia Beach kicks off its Cherry Blossom Festival. It will run until April 2 and will feature garden tours, cultural performances and more.
Harlem Globetrotters at Chartway Arena
The legendary Harlem Globetrotters arrive in Norfolk this weekend. They will play at ODU's Chartway Arena on Saturday at 2 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. You can check out the team's spectacular skills starting at just $28 a ticket.
The "Sailing to Freedom: Maritime Dimensions of the Underground Railroad" exhibit is now open. The exhibit tells the often untold story of enslaved people using Atlantic coastal routes to make their way to freedom. The exhibit is open until mid-April and admission is $3.
Fido Fest is returning to James City County this weekend. It's happening at the Jamestown Beach Event Park on Saturday. You can bring your dog on a leash and take part in the best trick contest, the Fido fashion show and other fun activities.
This Sunday, the Valor Run is returning to Virginia Beach. The run raises money and honors the 177 women killed in combat since 2001. Event registration ends on Saturday March, 25 at 5 p.m.
