Dine Out to Help Out
Monday marks the start of the annual "Dine Out to Help Out" fundraiser in northeast North Carolina. More than 30 restaurants throughout the region are taking part. Ten percent of all proceeds will go to the Food Bank of the Albemarle, and every dollar donated helps feed four people. The event runs until Sunday.

Mariners’ Wharf Film Festival
On Tuesday, Elizabeth City kicks off its Summer Film Festival at Mariners' Wharf Park. Every Tuesday for the next several weeks, a new movie will be projected right next to the waterfront. It is completely free to attend, and this week's movie is August Rush.

Harborfest
America's longest-running free maritime festival is returning to the Elizabeth River. Harborfest is back at Town Point Park this Friday through Sunday. There will be live music, several tall ships, vendors, food and more. Friday will feature the Parade of Sail and a drone show. There will also be a fireworks show on Saturday.

Busch Gardens Food and Wine Festival
This is your last chance to enjoy food and wine from around the globe at Busch Gardens. The food and wine festival ends on Sunday. Until then, you can experience 150 different international flavors placed throughout the park.

Destination Dinosaur
Take a trip to prehistoric times with Destination Dinosaur in Newport News. The popular exhibit is back at the Virginia Living Museum. You and the family can take a trip through history and enjoy eight animatronic dinos and several living fossils. You have until September to see the exhibit and tickets for non-members start at $19.

SEAvening
Later this week, the Virginia Aquarium is celebrating pride month with a special family SEAvening. On Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., all families are welcome to take part in special activities. The aquarium says it wants to celebrate the kaleidoscope of families in Hampton Roads. Tickets start at $25.

"Pint for Pint" Blood Drive
On Thursday, you'll have the chance to give back to the community and get rewarded for it. The Red Cross and Smartmouth Brewing are hosting a "Pint for Pint" blood drive. For donating a pint of blood, if you are of age, you'll receive a coupon for a free beer to use at a later date. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

North American Sand Soccer Championship
This weekend, the North American Sand Soccer championship returns to the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. People across the country had the chance to enter to play this weekend. While registration has closed, you can still check it out! It will also play host to some of the world's most elite beach soccer players. It's happening Friday through Sunday from the 15th Street fishing pier to 34th Street.
