Norfolk Latino Music Festival
This Saturday, you can celebrate the vibrant Latinx community at the Norfolk Latino Music Festival. It's at Town Point Park and runs from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. In addition to live music, there will also be dancing lessons, family activities and tons of authentic Latin cuisine to choose from. The festival is free for everyone.

Downtown Norfolk Restaurant Week
If you want a delicious meal for a deal, this week is your chance to try a new place or visit one of your favorites! Restaurant week is underway in Downtown Norfolk and runs until Sunday. There are 22 different restaurants around the Mermaid City participating. They're offering special menus at a fixed cost, from $15 to $45.

Hampton Heat
One of the biggest races of the season is this weekend for Langley Speedway: the 15th annual Hampton Heat! There will be 32 of the best up-and-coming drivers in Virginia. They'll square off for a win at one of Virginia's triple crown events. Local series start racing at 6:30 p.m. with the main event taking the green flag around 9 p.m. Tickets start at $20 and parking is free.

FantaSci
If you love fantasy and science fiction, the Chesapeake Central Library should be your destination this weekend. They are hosting "FantaSci," a mini-con with panels, vendors, games and a whole lot more. It's on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.

Blanket Movie Festival
If you want to watch a movie out by the sand, this week you can for free! This week is the Blanket Movie Festival in Virginia Beach. The shows start at 8:30 p.m. Some of the movies include Galaxy Quest, E.T., and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Community Appreciation Day
Williamsburg is hosting a community appreciation day Thursday at 5 p.m.. It'll be on the lawn of The Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg. There will be lawn games, live music, food, and even a community art project. It's free and open to everyone.

Barbie Bash
The Suffolk Public Library is celebrating the release of the Barbie movie with a Barbie bash. It's at the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday. There will be cosplay, accessory-making and party games! Adults only, sorry kiddos, but it is free to attend!

Summer Nights at Busch Gardens
Summer Nights at Busch Gardens run until August 13. Parkgoers get to experience Busch Gardens after dark, with light-up coasters, fireworks, and a concert series. This weekend's artist is Flo Rida, and he'll take the stage at 7 p.m. on Saturday. On top of that, all members aged 21 and up will get a free beer, and non-members can get beer for just 50 cents. Tickets will cost the same as normal admission.

Virginia Beach Carnival
From Thursday to Sunday, Virginia Beach is hosting its carnival! The event will feature live music, a parade, arts and crafts villages and more. The event aims to "uplift Virginia Beach residents of Caribbean descent." The parade kicks off Saturday at 11 a.m. and the concert is set to start later in the day at 4 p.m.
