We know it's hard to keep the work week moving along, especially in the winter months. But we are lending a hand with three fun things you can do!

Virginia Symphony Orchestra

How about a night spent surrounded by beautiful melodies? The Virginia Symphony Orchestra returns to the Ferguson Center for the Arts, this Friday Feb. 17. You can see the Gospel According to Swing: with Bryon Stripling for as little as $25 a ticket.

Norfolk Admirals

The Norfolk Admirals return to the mermaid city this week, providing three different opportunities to see them in action at the scope arena. They face off against the Reading Royals on Wednesday, then take on the Worcester Railers on Friday and Saturday. Tickets start at $15.

Gardens Mardi Gras Celebration

While Mardi Gras isn't until next week, why not start the fun early this year? Busch Gardens has been hosting Mardi Gras celebrations since January, and they will continue until Feb. 26. You can expect classic Cajun food, jazzy live music and more.

ODU Public Planetarium Night

How about spending the evening under the stars? On Wednesdays you can head over to the planetarium at Old Dominion University. They have full-dome shows open to the public for just $3 a ticket. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m.

‘Get Lost’ at the Virginia Living Museum

Why not challenge your brain with some mazes and 3D puzzles? Now until late April 23, the Virginia Living Museum is hosting the 'Get Lost' exhibit. You and the family can work your way through 60 different puzzles starting at $17 a ticket.

The Dolly Party at Elevation 27

If you are a big fan of the queen of country, you'll want to pay attention to this. The Dolly Party is coming to Elevation 27 in Virginia Beach this Friday. It is a Dolly Parton-inspired dance party. Dolly herself won't be in attendance, but the tickets to the disco start at just $15.

Norfolk Botanical Garden Free Admission

The Norfolk Botanical Garden is celebrating Black History Month with free admission on Thursdays this month. They say this celebrates the 220 "African-American Works Progress Administration" workers. If you'd like to reserve a time, click the link above.

Toto Live in Concert

If you are looking for a blast from the past, 80's rock band ‘Toto’ is in Hampton Roads on Thursday, Feb.15. They are coming to the Ferguson Center for the Arts for their 'Dogz of Oz' tour. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. And tickets are going for as low as $38.50.
