Crews battle large house fire in Hampton

HAMPTON, Va. – Crews were battling a large house fire Tuesday morning.

Officials said the fire was in the 2900 block of Chesapeake Ave., and it was called in around 11 a.m.

All the occupants were able to get out of the home.

As of 1 p.m., officials said the fire was under control and under investigation. Crews will stay on scene for hotspots, they said.

Chesapeake Ave., will remain closed from Powhatan to LaSalle Ave.
