NAGS HEAD, N.C. – Nags Head officials announced that Wednesday is a Red Flag Day on the beach.

The ocean has been determined to be a high risk, therefore, ocean swimming is prohibited.

Red Flags indicate a high threat of rip currents and will fly until ocean conditions improve.
