Karen degenerates to surface trough

Karen has degenerated into a surface trough.

As of 5 p.m. Friday, the remnants of Karen are centered about 425 miles east-southeast of Bermuda and are moving toward the northeast at 6 mph.

They should stall and then begin moving westward over the weekend.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph with higher gusts. Winds associated with the remnants are expected to gradually decrease during the next several days.
