The company said its infrastructure in coastal areas of Virginia and North Carolina suffered “catastrophic” damage during the storm. More than 7,000 Dominion Energy employees and contract crew members are supporting restoration efforts as crews assess the damage and get power back on.

The City of Virginia Beach also said there appears to be an issue with T-Mobile phones as users are unable to make or receive calls, including to 911. Officials are reminding citizens that the city has “text to 911” capabilities; if you have T-Mobile and need an emergency response, send a text message to 911.
