Coast Guard reopens Port of Hampton Roads following Hurricane Dorian

PORTSMOUTH, Va. – The Captain of the Port for the Port of Hampton Roads reopened the Port of Hampton Roads Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m.

Vessel movement is now allowed into and out of the river and the Port of Hampton Roads.

The Coast Guard said in a statement that damage in the port was minimized during Hurricane Dorian due to early preparation and communication between federal, state, local and industry partners.
