Limited evacuation orders lifted for all Langley Air Force Base Residents

JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. – Col. Clinton Ross, the 633rd Air Base Wing commander, has lifted the limited evacuation for all Langley Air Force Base residents.

As of Friday, residents living in Lighter-Than-Air, Heavier-Than-Air and Dormitory Airman may return home safely.

Langley Air Force Base lodging will re-open at 1 a.m. for guests.

All Langley gates are open to normal operating status effective 7 p.m. Friday.

The Stop Movement Order has also been lifted for everyone who has been impacted, including, but not limited to:

  • TDYs
  • PCSs
  • Deployments
  • Leave

Evacuation allowances will only continue until Sunday, September 8, allowing residents and their families up to two days to return home. For anyone with extenuating circumstances, you are asked to contact your leadership/chain of command.
