Man faces life threatening injuries after Hampton shooting

HAMPTON, Va. - Police in Hampton are investigating a shooting that left one man with life threatening injuries Tuesday morning .

According to officials, a preliminary investigation has revealed that the man was shot around 6:30 a.m. in the 300 block of E. Mercury Boulevard before he drove himself to a 7-Eleven convenience store to seek aid for his injuries.

It is not known what led to the shooting. Police are investigating.
