HAMPTON ROADS, Va. – Thousands of Dominion Energy customers were without power across Portsmouth and Chesapeake on Tuesday.
Dominion Energy’s outage map showed around 5,300 outages in Portsmouth and over 2,700 in Chesapeake at the height of the outages.
In Portsmouth, the cause for the outages is listed as “circuit out” on the Dominion website.
Around 3:15 p.m., the total number of customers without power was listed at just over 800.
