NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Virginia State Police is investigating after a single-vehicle crash left a motorcyclist dead.
Police said the crash happened at approximately 3:11 p.m., on I-664 northbound near exit 5.
The motorcyclist, 32-year-old Michael Allen Karika, was driving a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle while attempting to enter the interstate from 34th Street and lost control of the vehicle.
Police found that Karika was deceased when they arrived on scene. There is no further information at this time.
