NORFOLK, Va. – Four people are in the hospital after two cars collided on E. Princess Anne Road Tuesday morning.

Around 9:20 a.m., Norfolk Police and Norfolk Fire-Rescue responded to the 5100 block of E. Princess Anne Road and McNeal Avenue for a crash with injuries. The crash involved a Dodge Caravan and a Hyundai Santa Fe.

First responders arrived to find a 56-year-old man, who was a passenger in the Dodge Caravan, suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, and his condition has been upgraded to serious but stable.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the Dodge Caravan was traveling westbound on E. Princess Anne Road when it hit the Santa Fe, which was turning onto E. Princess Anne from McNeal Avenue.

Authorities say the 60-year-old male driver of the Caravan and the second passenger inside the van, a 32-year-old man, were both taken to the hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the Caravan is a taxi for the Orange Cab Company.

The driver of the Santa Fe, a 49-year-old woman, was also taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.

No charges have been filed at this time.

The investigation remains ongoing.
