Motorcycle driver dies following Norfolk crash

NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk Police Department is investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash at Colley Avenue and 27th Street.

According to dispatch, the call came in at 12:02 p.m. for the crash involving a motorcycle and a tow truck.

The motorcycle's driver, a 64-year-old man, was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. He died shortly after arrival.

The driver of the tow truck remained on-scene, and no other injuries were reported. Alcohol and speed do not appear to be contributing factors in the crash.
