Chesapeake residential fire leaves one man displaced

CHESAPEAKE, Va. – The Chesapeake Fire Department were on the scene of a residential structure fire in the 4000 block of Surf Avenue.

According to the department, the fire was called in at 2:50 p.m. When crews arrived, they found smoke showing from the residence’s attic.

Officials say the Chesapeake firefighters worked to bring this fire under control with the help of automatic aid companies from Virginia Beach and Norfolk.

The fire was reported out at 3:18 p.m. There were no injuries to report.
