Two men injured in Portsmouth shooting

PORTSMOUTH, Va. – Police in Portsmouth are investigating after two men were sustained gun wounds from a shooting in the 80 block of Dale Drive.

According to officials, police responded to the shooting call around 8:30 p.m. and located one of the men, who was suffering from a serious gunshot wound to the upper body.

After transferring the first victim to the hospital, a second call came in about a man walking into a local hospital with a non-life threating gunshot wound to the leg. He told investigators that he was in the Dale Drive area when he was shot.

At this time, detectives do not have a motive or suspect in this case, but their investigation is ongoing.
