CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Around 4,400 customers were without power and both Deep Creek middle school and high school were being impacted by an outage on Monday morning.

According to officials, all power has been restored to Chesapeake as of 12:52 p.m.

Power was restored around 11:13 a.m. for both schools and they have resumed their regular instruction day.

Crews with Dominion Energy determined that the cause of the outage was a tree limb that had fallen on a power line.
