Suffolk police investigating armed robbery of gas station

SUFFOLK, Va. – Suffolk Police are investigating a commercial armed robbery that occurred Sunday, February 10 at a gas station.

Officials were notified of the incident which happened around 10:40 p.m. at the Raceway store located in the 1200 block of Portsmouth Boulevard.

It was determined during an initial investigation that two black males entered the store wearing dark clothing and gloves with their faces covered. One of the suspects displayed a handgun.

Money and cigarettes were taken and then the suspects fled on foot. There were no injuries reported.

The investigation is currently ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
