NORFOLK, Va. – A call came in to Norfolk police around 1:10 p.m., in reference to a bomb threat at the Norfolk Federal Building.
Norfolk Police assisted Homeland Security in the 200 block of Granby Street.
Various streets surrounding the building were blocked off and light rail travel came to a halt while a search of the inside was conducted.
It has been reported that K9 teams from multiple agencies were searching the facility as well.
Hampton Roads Transit reported that Monticello and MacArthur Stations were affected due to police activity.
Around 3:45 p.m., the all clear was given and police said roadways and light rail travel are back to normal operations.
