NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Power has been restored after a large power outage in Newport News that left 5,070 customers in the dark, including the entirety of Fort Eustis.
Joint Base Langley-Eustis said in a Facebook post that power company employees are currently working to resolve the issue.
The power was expected to be restored between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Dominion Energy said a power line went down, affecting the Grafton area, Fort Eustis and other parts of the peninsula. Crews remain on-scene working, but a cause has not been determined.
