WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Williamsburg Police Department responded to Priorslee Lane Sunday morning in reference to a shooting.
The incident happened just after 10 a.m.
According to reports, the suspect fired one round, striking the victim in the stomach. The victim was taken to Riverside Regional Medical Center and is expected to survive.
The suspect, who has been identified as 28-year-old Nicholas Goff of Williamsburg, was taken into custody without incident.
Police have charged Goff with attempted malicious wounding and unlawful use of a firearm. He was taken to the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.
