VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The man who was charged in a January crash that left a person critically injured has pleaded guilty to all charges.

On August 6, 20-year-old Matthew Rushin of Virginia Beach pleaded guilty to two counts of malicious wounding and hit & run.

The three-vehicle crash in the 500 block of First Colonial Road on January 4 left another man with life-threatening injuries. The status of the other people involved was unknown.

Rushin was arrested after the crash and was taken to the Virginia Beach Correctional Center, where he was held on a “no bond permitted status” related to a single charge of Attempted Murder.

On January 10, Rushin’s bond was denied.

He is expected to be sentenced on November 6.
