ISLE OF WIGHT Co., Va. – Deputies with the Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s Office have arrested the man who fled after a traffic stop late Saturday night.

Jeremiah Corbin

The sheriff’s office says a deputy was conducting a traffic stop on Brewers Neck Road, Route 32, near the Econo Lodge around 11:15 p.m. when he came into contact with the driver and a single passenger. Isle of Wight County K9 units, along with Virginia State Police K9 units and Smithfield Police, conducted an extensive search for the suspect on Sunday.

At 12:15 p.m., 33-year-old Jeremiah Corbin of Hampton was apprehended in a wooded area off of Nike Park Road in Carrollton.
