SUFFOLK, Va. - A man has been arrested for impersonating a police officer again.
Suffolk Police said a social media post about a traffic stop tipped them off to investigate.
A citizen said they were stopped Friday morning by a subject driving what appeared to be an unmarked police vehicle with blue lights.
Officers found the vehicle parked at a business in the 600 block of Carolina Road and made contact with the vehicle owner.
Police said 30-year-old Eugene Johnson III was arrested on a felony charge of Impersonating Law Enforcement Officer after an investigation.
News 3 tracked down the victim's sister. She didn't want to be identified but said she is extremely concerned.
"He was acting like a real cop. He pulled him over. He was very aggressive, acting like he was a real cop," she said.
Johnson plead guilty to impersonating a police officer, among other charges, in 2012.
In July 2011, police said Johnson was arrested. They said they searched his black Impala and found a jacket with the word "Police" on it as well as a bulletproof vest and a portable radio.
On Friday morning, the victim's sister said her brother was told to pull over on Carolina Road. Johnson told him he didn't stop properly for the stop sign.
"It is certainly a situation that the Suffolk Police Department as well as all police departments take very seriously," said City of Suffolk Public Information Officer Diana Klink. "If you feel threatened or are being followed or if you think a crime has been committed, contact 911. Don’t just put it on social media."
Johnson was taken to the Western Tidewater Regional Jail and is expected in court November 30.
