NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Police in Newport News are investigating a homicide in the city. 
According to officials, the investigation is ongoing in the 600 block of Ridley Circle and officers arrived to find a man laying on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim in the shooting is 26-year-old Steven Christopher Richardson, who lived in the same block of where he was killed.
Police do not have any suspect information.
