Neon window sign sparks Norfolk restaurant fire

NORFOLK, Va. – Firefighters responded to the Golden City Restaurant Tuesday morning after a neon window sign sparked a fire.

Officials say crews were called to the restaurant in the 1000 block of Park Avenue around 5 a.m. Firefighters allegedly could see flames showing through the windows when they arrived.

There was reportedly minimal smoke and fire damage.

Officials say there were no injuries.
