CHESAPEAKE, Va. – According to officials, a male student brought a stolen firearm to Oscar Smith High School last week.
Chesapeake Police were notified of this incident on Tuesday.
Police say the firearm was never located on school property, but through social media posts, police believe that the gun was on school property.
Officials say the student was taken into custody on Tuesday and charged with possession of a stolen firearm. The school said the student is also facing disciplinary consequences.
