One student injured, one in custody after shooting at Charlotte area high school

CHARLOTTE, N.C.  – One student is in custody and another is in the hospital after a shooting at Butler High School.

According to officials, the shooting happened Monday morning.

The extent of the injuries to the victim is not known at this time.

Information about the student in custody and the student injured have not been released.

Officials believe this is an isolated incident.
