Man arrested in connection to Suffolk shooting

SUFFOLK, Va. – Suffolk Police are investigating a shooting on N. 4th Street Friday night.

Police told News 3 the male victim was shot in the lower leg. His injuries are said to be non-life-threatening.

Suffolk Fire & Rescue personnel gave the victim emergency medical assessment and treatment before taking him to a local hospital for further treatment.

Officers chased a car that was leaving the scene recklessly until the driver crashed on Nansemond Parkway just inside Chesapeake city limits.

Two suspects were previously detained and on October 10 police said they arrested someone who they believe is responsible for the shooting.

22-year-old Quadrion Gebre Boone has been charged with two counts Armed Robbery, Discharge a Firearm in Public, three counts of Use of a Firearm during Commission of a Felony, Aggravated Assault and Wearing a Mask in Public.

Boone is currently being held without bond at Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
