NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Newport News Police are investigating a homicide that happened in the 700 block of Gloucester Drive.
The call came in at 1:29 p.m., Thursday afternoon for reports of shots fired. While officers were en route, the call was upgraded to a shooting.
An adult male victim was located suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim has been identified by police as 27-year-old Raghib Ismail Brooks of Hampton.
