Woman airlifted to hospital after being hit by vehicle in Chesapeake parking lot

CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Chesapeake Police are investigating after a crash in the 4300 block of Portsmouth Boulevard.

The call came in at 11:40 a.m. for the accident.

Police said a vehicle turned down a lane to park and did not see the pedestrian walking. The vehicle hit the victim and continued driving over the victim, according to police.

The driver stopped and is cooperating with investigators.

The victim had multiple life threatening injuries and was flown by Nightingale to Norfolk General Hospital.

Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be involved in this accident.
