HAMPTON, Va. – A building at Hampton University’s Proton Therapy Institute was evacuated Thursday afternoon due to complaints of smoke.
Crews with Hampton Fire & Rescue responded to the scene around 4:30 p.m. The complaints said smoke was on the second floor of the facility.
The building was evacuated while firefighters investigated.
There is no further information.
